Pharrell Williams continues to shape a new menswear aesthetic for Louis Vuitton. For the Spring-Summer 2027 collection show, the designer made the surfer the main character of the season – free, carefree, and effortlessly stylish. The show took place at the International University Residence in Paris. Williams, who has long turned his shows into grand performances, this time invited guests into a true summer story. The centerpiece of the decor was a massive, cascading wave that looked almost realistic. Thus, the designer paid homage to surf culture and his hometown of Virginia Beach on the East Coast of the USA.
The surfer image became the foundation of the new Louis Vuitton collection. For Pharrell, it’s a symbol of freedom, lightness, and life by the ocean. A bohemian mood runs through the entire collection, and classic elements of surf wardrobe are given a luxurious execution thanks to the mastery of the French House.

The designer combined urban aesthetics with Californian beach style. The runway featured denim micro-shorts with raw edges, oversized knit sweaters, vests with palm tree embroidery, as well as surf suits completely covered in the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram.

Some models walked the runway with surfboards or skateboards under their arms, reinforcing the overall narrative of the collection. Pharrell Williams’ signature style elements were also present: impeccable tailoring, bootcut trousers, and baseball caps that have become his recognizable feature.

The nautical theme continued in the accessories. The iconic Keepall bags received ocean-inspired details, and among the new items were clutches shaped like seashells and other trompe-l’œil accessories imitating marine creatures. Monogrammed models were adorned with vibrant colorful embroidery reminiscent of corals and tropical landscapes.

One of the main novelties of the show was the Combi sneakers, presented in several variations – from red embossed crocodile leather to the signature monogram canvas version. Interestingly, the model went viral even before its official runway debut: a few days before the show, it was exclusively featured by the Instagram account @skateboard.
The inspiration for the Combi came from the world of skateboarding – a culture historically closely linked to surfing. Both trends share a spirit of freedom, independence, and a desire to live outside the rules – it is these values that Pharrell Williams has made the central idea of his new collection for Louis Vuitton.
