Warner Bros. Studio has unveiled the trailer for one of the year’s most anticipated films – “Practical Magic 2,” a sequel to the iconic 1998 movie. Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens, sisters from a family of witches.
The film’s events unfold thirty years after the conclusion of the first installment. We reunite with Sally and Gillian as they confront a dark curse that threatens to destroy their family forever. This time, the determined witches endeavor to lift an ancient familial curse, according to which all men who fall in love with women of their lineage perish.

It is symbolic that the stars from the original film, nearly thirty years ago, return to their roles: besides Bullock and Kidman, actresses Diane Wiest and Stockard Channing, who portrayed their aunts Bridget and Frances, are back. Among the new cast members are Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”) and Maisie Williams (“Game of Thrones”), playing Sally’s daughters.
“There is no magic stronger than sisterhood,” says Stockard Channing’s character, Franny Owens, at the beginning of the trailer. The video opens with a shot of her witch nieces holding hands and looking at each other tenderly. “Tested by fate, tested by time, and never broken.”
The film is directed by Susanne Bier, known for the thrillers “Serena” and “Bird Box,” which starred Sandra Bullock. Alongside Nicole Kidman, Bullock is also a producer of “Practical Magic 2.” The movie is set to be released in theaters on September 11.
