While vacationing in Antibes, the actress wore oversized sunglasses, and for boat trips, she opted for wide-brimmed hats with unusual shapes. During the filming of “Roman Holiday,” she enjoyed gelato with Gregory Peck, dressed in a skirt with a defined waist. In her leisure time with her husband Mel Ferrer, the actress often sported checkered capri pants. Many of these pictures were taken at the renowned Bürgenstock Resort in Lucerne, Switzerland. In 1954, Audrey Hepburn married Mel Ferrer in a chapel on the resort’s grounds. She later resided at Villa Bethania, a house that also belonged to the resort complex. Subsequently, the actress moved to the Swiss town of Tolochenaz. There, she lived in an 18th-century farmhouse named La Paisible. Vogue photographed this home for the magazine’s April 1961 issue. When Audrey Hepburn wasn’t filming or attending promotional events in Hollywood, she enjoyed playing golf, tending to her garden, and relaxing amidst the Swiss Alps.
